Why are you going on this trip to Rwanda?
I am going in hopes to help make a difference in the quality of health care in Rwanda. While my background is not clinical, I believe my energy and expertise serving as a coordinator will contribute to the overall success of this mission. This is an opportunity to fulfill my personal desire to serve, and I am beyond excited to see what lies ahead. While Mercy’s role is to use our talents and resources to help make recommendations to Rwanda, I am certain we will take away just as much from this trip as the people of Rwanda. This will be an incredible learning experience both personally and professionally, and I am honored to have the opportunity to represent Mercy in this venture.
What are your favorite outside-of-work activities?
I enjoy traveling, cooking, remodeling my home, spending time with family and friends, “attempting” to garden, playing a good board game, snow skiing, and anything outdoors – especially playing with my two dogs Jack and Syd!
