“Let us be the ones who say we do not accept that a child dies every three seconds simply because he does not have the drugs you and I have. Let us be the ones to say we are not satisfied that your place of birth determines your right for life. Let us be out raged, Let us be loud, and Let us be bold.” – Brad Pitt

Why are you going on this trip to Rwanda?
I consider myself a servant leader with a servant heart. My dream is to reach out and work together to transform the lives of others through compassionate care and exceptional service. The Mercy family personifies my dream and together we will travel home to Rwanda to (1) identify deficiencies (gaps) in the country’s healthcare delivery system (2) develop a strategic plan on how to address those issues (3) thereby planting the seed that will grow into a long-term relationship between Mercy and the people of Rwanda.
What are your favorite outside-of-work activities?
I love being with my family: my wife Alexandrine and my children Brian and Shelia. We enjoy cycling, sharing stories, reading and watching TV together. We are making great memories.
