Why are you going on this trip to Rwanda?
My role as documentarian, or storyteller, of this trip will let me show our community – and hopefully the world – what incredible work is being done in Rwanda and at Mercy. I’m honored to have the responsibility of helping people, regardless of their geography, get access to these experiences. Hopefully, we can all learn a little from each other.
What are your favorite outside-of-work activities?
I love anything outdoorsy and a little daring. I live in an art district in an urban area of Oklahoma City, so any time I can get back to nature and see the stars at night, I find peace. I love animals. I enjoy yoga, rock climbing, hiking, cycling, writing, taking pictures, traveling, spending time with my sister (who is my best friend) and cuddling with my dog, Gretchen.
