Why are you going on this trip to Rwanda?
Having previously visited five medical facilities in Kenya and Tanzania, I have never forgotten the tremendous need for health care in Africa and have a deep desire to help improve access to quality medical care. I have contemplated doing "medical missionary" work but have felt that providing care 1:1 would have a minimal impact on the problem. The Mercy 4 Ubuzima trip to Rwanda offers an opportunity to affect a large number of citizens by helping promote improvements in the system of health care.
What are your favorite outside-of-work activities?
I like gardening, traveling and spending time with my wife of five years.
